We caught it at Gentry, seen here from the Ark 12 overpass as it takes the siding with 30 cars and spanking clean power. Bulbasaur(on the concrete bridge wall to the right of the leader) seems to have faded a bit since his arrival several years ago. |

The ET44AHs have been in service most of the year-since at least February-but I have not been able to catch one leading for a chase. Finally, I was headed up to drop recycling-the transfer station is right next to the tracks, and I often see trains there-when I saw a train on the Lincoln Av crossing. I spun around, getting on US 412, hoping for the bridge shot. Nope-he beat me. But I saw the leaders vaulted radiator, and knew it was a 5000. Off I went. Fortunately, recyclables dont smell!! I caught him as he was going through Watts. |
