Description:  CP for a while handled some New England coal trains with its own power in D&H hoppers. One such train, an 890, is coming around the corner on the Buffalo Runner into Bevier St yard as it starts its trip up Belden Hill. Power was typical for that traffic.

Description:  I like to put railroad lineside items in my photos; mileposts are always a good prop. MP 216 is on the Tier where in Johnson Cit}, down off a back street. Almost all the mileposts on the Tier are the ex Erie concrete markers that show JC on them, signifying Jersey City. NS has replaced many in the process of single tracking the line. Here is 891 rolling 86 empties west.
