Number 1719 was built by Baldwin August 1901 ( c/n 19495 ) as 2-6-2 Class R-2 1719, rebuilt in 1918 to an 0-6-0, retaining the 1719 road number, classed G-8, retired in May 1941. There appears to be pipes below the pilot beam pointing toward the track. Hol Wagner offers the following: They appear to be steam nozzles for clearing switches of ice and snow. |

Number 1729 was built by Baldwin in March 1901 ( c/n 18795 ) as a 2-6-2 for the Hannibal & Saint Joseph as number 571, renumbered into the CB&Q system as 1729 ( Class R-2 ) in 1904, rebuilt in 1918 by the CB&Q to 0-6-0 Class G-8, retaining the 1729 road number, retired in December 1946. |

The date and location chosen based on the CB$Q Locomotive Assignment Sheet dated June 1, 1935. Number 1750 was built by Baldwin in 1901 (c/n 18874) as Burlington & Missouri River Railroad 2-6-2 number 361. It was renumbered CB&Q 1750 in 1904, ccassed as R-2. In 1918 it was rebuilt to an 0-6-0, classed G-8, retaining the 1750 road number. It was sold for scrap in January 1951. |
