CB&Q E7 9925A |
Description: |
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad E7 9925A eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on July 30, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Sorry about the lousy photo, The sun was not right for photographs on either side of the track in the early morning. Number 9925A was built in December 1945 (c/n 2956) and sold for scrap in May 1968. On the day of this photo it was in charge of Train #48, the combined Blackhawk and Mainstreeter, dragging various components of CB&Q, GN, and NP trains from the Twin Cities to Chicago. |

Description: |
She and her sister have brought the Zephyr about 415 miles from Minneapolis in about 6.5 hours. Not bad for a couple of 20-year old ladies. |
