Chicago & Illinois Midland (CIM) SD38-2 70 at BN's Cicero Yard in Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in June 1980, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 70 was built in May 1974 (c/n 74605-1), becoming UP 2800, later UPY 800. Six were built for the C&IM, in the number series 70-75. This photo shows the paper air filter option (the box that rises above the hood behind the intake grills, which are located behind the cab), the bolt-on battery covers, and the non-dynamic brake option.
