Originally built by the New Jersey Locomotive & Machine Company in 1861 originally for the Minnesota & Pacific Rwy, it was the very first steam locomotive to operate in the state of Minnesota. It's named after the Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Minnesota & Pacific Rwy. |
