Description:  Hollidaysburg. Here is a photo by Fred W. Schneider, III, that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 20 August 1955. It was published originally in David W. Messer's 2001 book entitled "Triumph IV: Harrisburg To Altoona, 1846-2001," page 267. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1747, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1916 and retired in December of 1955 after 39 years of faithful service.
