Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Columbia, Pennsylvania, in May of 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4773, a P-5A (2-C-2) boxcab built by General Electric during December of 1932, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in July of 1959 after 27 years of faithful service. Note that it's running with its lead pantograph in the raised position. ("LouisFols"; #12 of 13) |
