Description:  7th Street. Here is fn original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 08 March 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #7070, #9766-B, and #9650-B. All were built by EMD. #7070 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9766-B and #9650-B are EF-15A's rated at 1,500 horsepower each; #9766-B was built in 1951, but #9650-B was built in 1950. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train ulder the 7th Bridge on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West.

Description:  24th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9657 and #9766-B. Both are EF-15A's built by EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each; #9657 was built in 1950, but #9766-@ was built in 1951. They are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge with a 76-car mixed-cargo freight train on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. The N-8 caboose is #478171. Bringing-up the rear are three ALCo "pushers": #8678, #8674, and #8667. The 73-car eastbound TrucTrain on the next track over is headed by engine #2249.
