Title:
PRR 9531, EF-15, 1964
Description:
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 11 April 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #9531, #9816, and #2514. #9531 is an EF-15 built by EMD in 1948 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. #9816 is an EF-15A built by EMD in 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. #2514 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling a 149-car eastbound mixed-cargo freight train along with caboose #477939.
