Description:
The engineer is hanging out the side waiting for a signal before moving the passenger cars in the Lynn, MA, yard. Built by Alco in 1903, it was a B-14 class Moguo later superheated by the B&M shops in 1918. Note the racks of insulators on the telephone/telegraph pole behind the tender. Unknown photographer.

Nice catch by an unknown photographer as the Alco built 2-6-0 Mogul #1450 passes overhead on a bridge labeled with the line's name. Specs - class B-15, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 19x26" cylinders, engine weight of 127,000 lb, tractive effort of 25,327 lb.
