Description:
Number 1004 sits in an unidentified yard on this day. It was a 1907 Alco-Schenectady I-1 class Pacific with 73" drivers and able to generate a respectable boiler pressure of 200 psi for its 23"x28" cylinders. Engine weight was 234,400 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 34,493 lb. No photographer, date or location listed for this photo so date listed is an approximation.
