Title: |
C&O 2-8-4 #2777 - Chesapeake & Ohio |
Description: |
Here is 1947 Alco Berkshire (C&O preferred the name "Kanawha" instead). It was a class K-4 built along the pattern of the Nickel Plate & Pere Marquette Bershires which were so successful. It had 69" drivers, developed a boiler pressure of 245 psi, and had 69,368 lb tractive force. Looks newly delivered like another loco in this album. Date is approximate. Forrest W.
