This diesel railcar was built during the period 1954–1981, altogehther 787 units in twelve series. Class Y1 railcars were gradually added to almost every unelectrified railways in passenger traffic around Sweden and thus spread across the country, from Ystad Simrishamn in the south to Haparanda line in the north. |
