NORMAN OK May 31 1979 -- Santa Fe SD45 5618 and U36C 8792 have control of train 563 as they approach the Lindsey Street crossing from the south. EMD built the 5618 in June 1970. In November 1983 it was rebuilt as an SD45u and renumbered ATSF 5371. It went to Morrison Knudsen in 1994 and Helm financial in May 1996. BNSF leased the unit but it was fire damaged. It was rebuilt at Boise Locomotive Company (Idaho) in 1977 and store there in Jan 1991. It was scrapped by MotivePower Inc. in March 2000. (Roster information from atsfrr.net) |
