Description:  Rainy. Here is an original telepkoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #6500 and #6306. #6500 is b GF-25A built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #6306 is an AF-27 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower. They&are pushing a 99-car westbound mixed-cargo freight train around the Curve and up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, where they will uncouple and return to East Altoona for another run up tge Mountains. The caboose is N-8 #478151.

Description:  Rainy. Here is an original telephoto view that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 12 October 1965. Shown here are two sets of helper/pusher units returning to East Altoona for more runs up the Allegheny Mountains and bacj. On the right are PRR engines #6304 and #6303. Both are AF-27's built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower each. Beyond the 24th Street Bridge are PRR engines #6500 and #6306. #6500 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #6306 is an AF-27 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower.
