Album Info:This tank car is located at the Lake Shore Railway Museum in North East, PA. Per museum provided information, the car was built in December 1922 by the Union Tank Car Company in Pittsburgh, PA. The car is an 8,000-gallon, non-insulated, non-piped tank car. It was last operated by EECRR and used for fuel oil storage. It is also reported to have been used for hauling liquid fertilizer. The car came from Lima, Ohio and was acquired by the Lake Shore Railway Historical Society in 1971.
