Album Info:The Southern railroad experimented with the GP40X, which was the testbed for the GP50. The NS GP50's were delivered to the Southern Railroad in 1980-81. Some were rebuilt into GP38-3's and many have become road slugs. Their latest iteration was a GP33ECO while the final unit on the roster (7083) was used as a core for a GP59ECO.
