Description: |
CLOVIS NM early 1970s -- This undated photo is a scan of an Instamatic color negative. Im gussing it was taken in 1970. I found M190 hidden south of the roundhouse in Clovis. From here it probably went to storage in the Albuquerque roundhouse. It was then donated to the California rail museum in Sacramento. As of this writing it has been returned to New Mexico and is back in Albuquerque. As a child growing up in Portales (just south of Clovis) I remember a round trip to Clovis to celebrate a birthday. M190 or M160 were the motive power and the car was a stainles steel round end observation. NOTE -- The date included with this photo is only a gues as to month and day. Ony the year is accurate. |

Many memories of my dad taking me to the yards and through the employee pedestirn underpass to the roundhouse. I remember a steam entine being in the north stall. No pictures from that era though, only fond memories. |
