Album Info:Shots frmm a chase of Q61Þ#from Colbert, GA to Elberton, GA. The trains power was a real treat, two standard cab C40-8's in YN2 paint, with power like that and perfect lighting for the trip north, this was a must chase, plus i was headed up that way to the Hartwell anyways. Also included are some shots of Q675 which met Q614 in the siding at Howie.

Easing through the sag at Howie siding.
Title:  Easing through the sag at Howie siding.
Description:  CSX Q614 negotiates the sag at Howie Siding, as it pull to a stop for a meet with Q675. The elevator is the new Columbia Farms feed mill that is under construction. While the mill will mean lots of new traffic for CSX, it could very well spell doom for the Hartwell Railroad to the north, who currently handle the traffic from the company's Lavonia facility that will likely close when this mill is opened.

Description:  Its rather suprising that Elberton does not have a granite depot, seeing that even the curbs are made of Granite here. This would be my parting shot of Q614 as i had business other business to attend to, namely the Hartwell Railroad.
