Amtrak PO 98 crosses over State Road 20.
Title:  Amtrak PO 98 crosses over State Road 20.
Description:  This is the west side of the bridge. As of 1/02/11 the west side has been painted over. The ACL RR letters are gone on this side. However, the east side of this bridge still has ACL RR showing as of 2/04/09. Back on 12-17-1991, Amtrak 310 derailed and overturned just north of this location. At 11:25 a.m. on December 17, 1991, Amtrak train 87, derailed at milepost A697.6 in Palatka, Florida. Train 87 consisted of a locomotive and eight cars; the locomotive and first six cars derailed. The derailment occurred while train 87 was negotiating a 66' curve to the right (west). The derailed equipment struck two homes and blocked the street north of the Palatka station.

Description:  I read this sign was erected in 150, and CSX restored this porcelain sign years ago. As you can see the purple paint is peeling off and exposing it's original porcelain surface.Q685 passed by at 9:00 AM
