Title:  CN 2-8-0 #2665 - Canadian National
Description:  Built by ALCo-Schenectady in August of 1907, this 2-8-0 started out as GTR #763 (serial #43552). In 1923 when the Grand Trunk Western was formed, the loco was renumbered GTW #2665 and in January of 1925, it slid onto the Canadian National roster as CN 2665. The loco served for nearly 54 years before meeting the scrapper's torch in September of 1961. Specs - 56" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 46,250 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1908-09 as CNoR #2110 (serial #44582), this loco was absorbed into the newly consolidated Canadian National as CN #2110 in 1919. The loco served the Canadian National for nearly 35 years before being scrapped in September of 1954. Specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 156,900 lb, tractive effort of 34,197 lb. Al Paterson photo

Description:  With five years left before retiring, this Canadian Locomotive Company 2-8-0 Consolidaion still is ready to haul freight as usual. Built in 1915 as CGR #279, it was renumbered CN 2362 in 1919 when it was folded into the roster. The loco served for nearly 42 years before being scrapped in October of 1957. Specs - 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 24x32" cylinders, engine weight of 231,800 lb, tractive effort of 44,763 lb.No photographer was listed.

Description:  Here is Canadian National 2-8-0 Consolidation #2751 in action heading up a freight train near Hinton, Alberta, Canada. This loco is a rarer Consolidation as it was one of group of only 20 built by the CN's own Transcona shops in August of 1931. CN 2-8-0 #2751 served for nearly 30 years before it was scrapped in December of 1961. Specxs - 63" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 20x30" cylinders, engine weight of 233,870 lb, tractive effort of 40,476 lb. No photographer was listed for this photo.

Description:  An unknown photographer was able to snap a picture of this work train as it passed through Oakville, Ontario, Canada, headed up by Canadian National 2-8-0 #2568. Built by ALCo-Schenectady in April of 1907, the loco started out as GTR #708 (serial #42048) but was renumbered CN 2568 in 1923 when it was merged into the CN roster. The loco was built as a compound Consolidation but later simplified. It served nearly 53 years before being scrapped in February of 1960. Original specs - 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x32" high pressure cylinders, 35x32" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 32,478 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
