Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1918 as Canadian Government Railway #506 (serial #59490, class J-7-a), it was renumbered in 1919 to CN #5278 when it joined the CN roster. The loco was retired and scrapped in December of 1961. Unknown photographer

Title:  CN 4-6-2 #5272 - Canadian National
Description:  Really sharp looking 4-6-2 Pacific, CN 5272, sits almost as if posing for the camera. The white sidewalls are impressive. Built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1918 as Canadian Government Railway #500 (serial #59484, class J-7-a), it was later renumbered CN 5272 when it joined the CN roster in 1919. The loco was retired and scrapped in February of 1960. Unknown photographer

Description:  Long before a GP38 loco carried the number "5579", this 4-6-2 Pacific built by the Grand Trunk shops in 1911 had the honor. It was originally GTR #202 (serial #1524, class K-3-b) but renumbered in 1923 as CN 5579. The loco was retired and scrapped in March of 1960. Unknown photographer

Specs - serial #54767, class J-4-a, 69" drivers, 205 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, tractive effort of 34,224 lb. The loco was retired and scrapped in September of 1961. Unknown photographer
