Album Info:On March 5th Stockton Terminal and Eastern SW1200 #778 arrived in Reading PA after traveling across the country from Stockton CA. ST&E donated the ex-Reading #2719 and arranged for BNSF and NS to move the engine back to PA at a greatly reduced rate. Unfortunately the Detroit Diesel prime mover had to be rendered inoperable as a part of the transaction. The exterior is in wonderful condition and the 1963 EMD will make a fine addition to the Reading Railroad Company Technical and Historical Society collection. Included in this album is the hi-rail track inspection trip from the Society's Hamburg site down the Reading & Northern's Pennsy Branch to Temple plus the arrival of 3 more GP38-2 locomotives recently purchased by the R&N.
