Album Info:This album features photos from the 2nd Day that Nick, Ethan, and I took to do some rail photography. Today we worked from Logansport over to Ossian and ended the day at Pizza Junction in Huntington. Enjoy!

Description:  Got an early start to the day over on the Huntington District. Today, Nick, Ethan, and I are taking a 2nd Day to do some rail photography between Logansport and Ossian. The original goal was to head straight to Ossian, but there were too many trains to pass up on the Huntington District. It was the first time Nick and Ethan were going to have a chance to railfan the Newcastle District south of Fort Wayne, and see my house for that matter. Anyways, we got an early start to the day, but it didnt take long before we heard NS 17K call clear at Danes. We dashed over to 18th Street where we caught the train rusing west with a pair of CN EMDs.

Description:  We decided that we would go ahead and check out the small yard at Peru to see if there were any trains departing any time soon. Sure enough, right when we got there, NS 10E began to creep east out the yard with a trio of UPs.

Description:  We chased the train to the old US 24 bridge that crosses the tracks outside of Rich Valley. After a short wait, NS 10E came by where it would quickly go in behind NS 20T on the main at Lagro waiting for NS 181 and NS 817.

Description:  After NS 817 passed, we were able to get all the way over to Ossian and to my house. Thankfully for us there was a meet that was going to be happening at Kingsland. After some waiting at my house, we went down to the tracks. An early NS 25A came south with a NS GEVO leading a UP SD70ACe.

Description:  Sadly it wasnt very busy at home today and we spent more time in my house than down by the tracks. Hopefully if I can get them over here again we will see more trains. Time passed and we had to go to Huntington. Sadly, NS L69 had been cleared to come bac north right before we left as well but we couldnt stay to see it. Anyways, we got to Pizza Junction and it wasnt more than 2 minutes on arrival that a train came. Believe it or not though, it was NS 10E again. How it managed to take so long between Lagro and Huntington is beyond me.

Title:  NS 7021
Description:  NS 7021 leads NS M45 west through Huntington. This would be the final train of the 2 day trip. Eight trains today, which makes 17 in 2 days. Not too bad for the Winter outings. Some pretty neat catches too. Ended it off with a delicious supper at Pizza Junction too! Looking forward to the Summer Trip next year! Had a good 2 days with the boys!
