Description:  Here's a great shot of the massive faceplate of the Norfolk & Western 2-6-6-4 #1202 taken from an original negative by Bon Morice. Note the solid pilot and hidden coupler pocket on this brute. Specs - NW Roanoke shops, 1936, class A, 70" drivers, impressive 300 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, 573,000 lb engine wt, impressive tractive effort of 125,897 lb. The entire class of 43 units was retired between 1958-59.
