Album Info:CNR fan trip from Montreal to Portneuf (near Quebec City) using Montreal Locomotive Works locomotives C630M 2023 and 2005 on a cold day, December 2nd, 1972. First the eastbound part of the trip in done on the St-Lawrence south shore via Richmond, on the former Grand Trunk line. The St-Lawrence River is then crossed on the Quebec bridge. Westbound trip back to Montreal is done on the north side of the St-Lawrence River. Business car Bedford is completing the train. As the C630M locomotives are freight locomotives, a steam generator (CN 15462) is used to heat the passenger cars.
