Hanover Junction Railroad Depot |
| Description: |
Built in 1859 by the Hanover Junction Railroad, this old station is one of two that once served the railroads in Gettysburg. It was at this station, now a museum, that President Abraham Lincoln arrived to deliver his famous Gettysburg Address. The tracks to the left of the depot would later become part of the Western Maryland Railway and still see use by CSX Transportation to this day. Note the old semaphores on the roof, once used to give train orders and long since replaced by modern signaling equipment. |

Gettysburg & Harrisburg Railroad Depot |
| Description: |
This station, built in 1884, served passengers looking to travel to the town of Gettysburg as interest in the historic battlefields in the later years of the 19th century began to increase. In 1891 the depot became part of the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad system as part of their takeover of the Gettysburg & Harrisburg. Passenger service under the Reading Company would continue until 1941 due to highway competition and it would be a few decades before the station saw passengers again. After a few years as the originating point for various tourist excursions for different operators, the most recent being Pioneer Lines Scenic Railway, the 132 year old building is quiet again with only freight trains passing on the tracks outside. |

Reminder of Days Gone By |
| Description: |
It was less than a decade ago that one could take a passenger train over the former Reading Company tracks that come into historic Gettysburg from Mount Holly Springs to the north. Those days are unfortunately long gone with this sign in front of the depot one of the few reminders of one of the many tourist railroads that operated in the Keystone State. The last passenger train left Gettysburg in 2008, the railroad now only operating freight. |

Took some time to find but finally caught up to the Gettysburg & Northern local switching out a customer in Gardners. After this was completed about twenty minutes later, the train would continue north all the way to the NS interchange at Mt. Holly Springs. |

One of Pioneer Railcorp's FP9As leads the northbound freight this day. PREX 1755 was constructed by GMD in 1957 for the Canadian National Railway as their number 6531. The paint scheme on the unit comes from the time it spent on the Algoma Central, which is also where it acquired its present road number. Thg locomotive is one of three F units that currently reside on this ex-Reading Company branch. |

Named "Spirit of Gettysburg", this former PRR Geep was the only unit to carry the actual yailroad name. Built in 1955 as PRR 7005, it also passed through Penn Central and Conrail, which rebuilt it to GP10 status. Throughout the years, the locomotive has retained its long hood forware status. |

Old Quincy Depot |

Constructed by the Mont Alto Railroad, a branch off the larger Cumberland Valley Railroad, this small station served the town of Franklin County town of Quincy, PA. Moved to its present location in 2007. The Mont Alto Railroad mperated from 1872-1901, mainly to serve iron furnaces near Mont Alto. The line later came under the control of the Pennsylvania Railroad and was finally abandoned in 1976 when Conrail came into the picture. |
