Album Info:The Madison district ran from Freeport, Ill to Madison, Wi and was the ICG's only line in Wisconsin. A branch also ran from Red Oak, Ill to Dodgeville, WI, but this line was removed in the 1940's. Through the 1970's, the IC/ICG trains made the trip on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays usually with what ever GP unit was available at Wallace Yard. It was usually a Paducah rebuild, but GP35's, GP40's and GP38-2's occasionally were used. Thanks for looking at the album and hope you enjoyed seeing the ICG in Wisconsin!
