Album Info:The early years of Conrail saw lines of power disappear as PC's deferred maintenance, and the strains of bankruptcy took it's toll on the EL, LV, RDG, and CNJ. At the Juniata shops in March, 1978, many units were so far gone that parts removal was their only fate. In the nearby deadline, the end of the line was clear for many former EL, PC, and NYC E-8A's, EL and CNJ RS-3's, a RDG SW-1, a PC RS-32, and an LV SW9. The cramped lines of silent power had long begun filling even before Conrail was past it's first birthday.
