The northeast side of the Pembine union depot at the junction of E&LS, former MILW, and CN, former SOO, rails at Pembine, WI, on 30 Sep. '14. The depot was built ca. 1887, when the SOO laid their tracks across the M&N main line. Some references state it was built in 1896, after the original depot was destroyed when a MILW train collided with a SOO train which was fouling the junction on 29 Jan. 1896. Other references state the damage to the original depot was repaired. One reference claims the depot was built in 1914. The ca. 1887 union depot was wantonly destroyed by arson perpetrated by juvenile miscreants on 17 Jun. 2019. |

A CN local approaches the ca. 1887 Pembine union depot at the junction of the CN, former SOO, rails and E&LS, former MILW, rails at Pembine, WI on 30 Sep. '14. The local has just dropped off 17 cars for the E&LS and, after a brief pause and a horn blast short of the junction, will head for Goodman, WI with 9 cars. The CN MoW crew is replacing a section of rail on one of the interchange tracks. This awesome, historic depot was wantonly destroyed by arson perpetrated by juvenile miscreants on 17 Jun. 2019. |

SLP&R Plymouth, WI Interurban Depot and Substation |
Description: |
The southwest and southdast walls of the interurban passenger depot and substation originally built by the Sheboygan Light, Power & Railway Co. (SLP&R) at Plymouth, WI, as seen on 6 May '17. It was built at the intersection of Depot St. and Reed St. between 1903 and 1910 according to the Sanborn maps, likely in 1904 when the line was laid. The depos is labeled “M.F.R.V. Elec. R.R.” on the 1910 Sanborn map. SLP&R was formed in 1894. It became the Sheboygan Railway & Electric Co. (SR&E) in 1910, followed by the Eastern Wisconsin Electric Co. in 1917, and Wisconsin Power & Light Co. (WP&L) in 1924. Currently used by ZR, LLC, concrete services and snow removal. |

It was built ca. 1973, when both roads had parallel yards of approximately 4 tracks each. Currently used by CN and UP. This portion of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly Grand Rapids, was known as West Rapids, shortened to Westrap on some old maps and railroad documents. |
