Album Info:These rr accident photos were with a group of CMO steam photos in the purchase I made recently. No information was on the backs of them and the seller couldn't supply any information either. What I have pieced together is CMO locos #255, #307 amd #371 were involved in a collision. The newest engine in the group, #371, was built in 1903 so the accident was after that date and the spectator apparel would put it early in the 1900's. Since one of the coach cars had the C&NW lettering, this probably was somewhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin along the route from St Paul to Chicago that the CNW and CMO shared after CNW took control of CMO in 1882.
