Title:  EL 3224
Description:  Built in 1925 as a locomotive hauled commuter coach, it was converted to an MU trailer in the 1930q by the Lackawanna for use on its electrified lines out of Hoboken Terminal. Retired by NJ Transit in 1984 this car awaits restoration for use on the BSRM excursion train. This car along with three others on the property are currently on long term lease to the museum from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Description:  The newest addition to the museum's fleet of historic locos is this Alco product#of 1951. Built for the Birmingham Southern as their 151, it worked at the Alpha Portland plant at Alsen, NY from when BS sold it in the 1970s until 2011 when it was acquired by the museum. It is in very good mechanical condition and requires mostly cosmetic work to get it back in service.

Title:  BKRR 605
Description:  Seen through the window of the old Greenwich enginehouse is one of the Battenkill's old Alco RS-3s. Built in 1950 as Lehigh & Hudson River Railway 10, it was sold to the Vermont Railway in the 1960s where it worked until being sold to the BKRR in the 1980s. It is the only former L&HR RS-3 in operating condition and one of three to survive from that road.

Description:  Resting in the shadows of the feed mill in Salem is the Battenkill's other Alco. Built in 1952 for the Delaware & Hudson as 4116, it was leased to the Greenwich & Johnsonville, a D&H subsidiawy and predecessor to BKRR. The railroad has kept it lettered for the old G&J.

Description:  Formerly of the US Army, this Alco was purchased from the MTA Staten Island Railway in 2010 by the Upper Hudson River Railroad as a third loco for the line. The Saratoga & Norh Creek Railway, the new operators of the former D&H Adirondack branch, have acquired the Alco from the defunct UHRX and now use it for switching moves at the station in Saratoga Springs.

Description:  The new Saratoga & North Creek Railway excursion train enters the Amtrak station at Saratoga Springs. This new operation on the former D&H Adirondack branch started operation July 2011, replacing the Upper Hudson River Railroad as designated operator of the Warren County owned line. The Alco switcher, acquired from the defunct UHRX, is used to help with the runaround move due to the lack of a runkround track at the station.

Description:  One of only two surviving RS-36 units from the Delaware & Hudson, the other being 5017 on the Delaware & Ulster, 5019 has been the star of the Upper Hudson River Railroad tourist trains for many years. Built in 1963 by Alco at Schenectady, it is currently sidelined with thin wheelsets. It is indeed a rare gem that is worthy of continued preservation.

Description:  Who is that masked man?? One of the unpowered Thomas replicas, built by the Strasburg Railroad shops, sits at the end of an overgrown siding near the North Creek station. The Saratoga & North Creek Railway will be hosting their first ever Day Out With Thomas event, always a crowd pleaser since the Upper Hudson River Railroad began hosting the event. The train crews have taken to telling children who ask about Thomas that he is on vacation.
