While driving down pothooed back roads outside Corpus Christi I came across a very odd sight. This heavyweight car once brought up the rear of Chicago & North Western business trains as CNW 401 "Chicago" but is now on stilts in a field not too far from the Gulf of Mexico. The hot sun and salty sea air is not treating the paint on this car well. It appears as someone is trying to build a gazebo or some sort of structure to partially cover this car. Hopefully this car gets some much needed attention before it rusts away. |
