crew on the last revenue train
Title:  crew on the last revenue train
Description:  From left to right, me (I was just a guest) and engineer Robert Riley. Not in the picture was General Manager Brad Allen, who was the conductor on the train who was going ahead of us in a high rail truck. This picture was taken just before departing the Mississippi Central's only customer, Roseburg, just north of Oxford. This plant was shutting down and this train carried the last 4 loads out of the plant plus 2 storage cars to Holly Springs, MS for interchange with the BNSF. After this train, this railroad will be used for storage cars only and now faces an uncertain future. Our speed on this final trip was 5 MPH due to track conditions.
