Description:  After the coal train went by, BNSF got very quiet. We heard the Mainline dispatch give permission to the UP Troy Grove local to cross at Earlivlle earlier today but AMTK 3 was coming when it crossed so we decided to risk fate and follow the line down to Troy Grove to see if it was still there. Thankfully it was!

Description:  Since the Mendota Sub wasnt picking back up, we decided t head north to Rochelle and finish out the day there. We followed the BNSF Aurora Sub from I39 to Steward, IL then up to Rochelle. Just outside of Steward there was an intermodel awaiting a new crew in the siding.

Description:  The coal train heads west into Rochelle. This would be the final train of the day. A total of 21 trains all together today. It was the fewest we have had on any day so far this trip, but not by too much. A total of 21 trains today brings us up to 188 total for the trip. Tonight we made our way back to Indiana. We stayed the night in Merrillville at the Home 2 Suites. Tomorrow starts the final day of the Galesburg Trip. Gonna railfan Pine Jct. east. Back to railfanning the eastern roads again!
