Description:  On Friday August 2, 2013 the Adirondack Scenic Railroad ran a short freight from Thendara, NY to Big Moose, NY for a night photo session which will take place the following day. The locomotive they used was NYC 8223. The mighty ALCO is seen on the siding at Big Moose, NY ready to do a runnaround.

Description:  A pair of lightning striped NYC RS3s in 2017 is a little hard to imagine, and sadly this is probably as close as we will ever come to seeing them together. The 8223's time in the Adirondack's is likely over after relations between the railroad's management and one of the locomotive's owners have soured greatly.
