Description:  The crew has their ponies pulling hard on the Lycon loads as they head out of town. They're about to pass through a rock cut and under Badger road and the Beltline highway. In the distance you can see the junction with the Vita Spur near Olin Avenue. Some of Madison's newer (and pricier) high rise apartments and condos loom in the distance, a stark contrast to my photo location on Badger road.

The junction still sees regular use - the daily freight between Janesville and Madison takes the connector track, and various local jobs cross the diamond and use the connector tracks to access the branch lines as they go about their duties.

Description:  The 3947 has finally received its red and gray after several years roaming the WSOR system in shabby ex-UP yellow. Watco's take on the scheme does away with the thin chevron stripes, and moves the single fat gray chevron from the long hood to the short hood. 4174 was the WSOR 4005.
